Why isn't my DNS record working?

If you are experiencing issues after entering or changing records in our DNS manager please follow these steps:

If your record is a domain reference, the "Value" may have been appended with your domain.

  1. Click on the domain in the "DNS Manager" section to expand the zone.
  2. Check the "Value" fields and look for records which have your domain appended to them: (smtp.google.com.example.com)
  3. Remove the appended domain (example.com) and terminate the value with a . character (smtp.google.com.) to prevent the value from being appended upon saving.
  4. Save record and re expand DNS zone to confirm "Value" fields are now accurate.
