The ChangeIP.com email system has some limits that are associated with each mailbox / backup queue. Below is an explanation of how it works.
SMTP/POP3 Mailboxes
The limits on the pop3/smtp service are hard limits. If you purchase a 10mb mailbox, you can receive up to 10mb at any given time until you download the mail to your client. If your mailbox fills up mail will be rejected until it has been cleared off the server. Typically email clients will connect every 5 minutes or so and remove all mail from the server, therefore freeing up space for more mail to come in. Purchase enough space to cover the time span that you think you will need.
RELAYING: You are allowed to relay the amount of storage space that you've purchased, per day. If you purchase a 10mb mailbox, you can relay up to 10mb per day. There are also a max number per day, and this is calculated by taking the storage size times 100... for instance if you've purchased 10mb of storage space you can relay 1000 emails per day, as long as it does not total more than 10mb.
Backup / Store and Forward
The limits on the store and forward are soft limits, meaning they will never stop any emails from flowing to your server. Most spammers are interested in outbound email and therefore do not abuse this type of service as easily, therefore they are soft limits. Reports are kept and you will be notified if you exceed the limit too many times.
The storage size that you allocate to the domain will determine how much AVERAGE email should flow thru the systems per day. If you purchase a 25mb queue you should be averaging around 25mb per day thru to your server.
