before starting this process. The information below was last
updated on February 27th, 2005.
Step A. Make sure your LocationFree® TV is
connected in the Home/Wireless mode. Go to Settings
-> Monitor. You can get to the Settings menu
from the bottom bar on most screens.

Step B. In the settings menu, go to
Base Station -> NetAV Settings -> Dynamic DNS.
The information below is specific to your configuration and should
be entered as it is shown.
UserID:
Password: The password that you've
created on our website.
URL to update DNS info: http://nic.ChangeIP.com/
URL to detect IP address:
http://ip.ChangeIP.com/
We recommend setting the 'IP address renewal'
interval to 10 minutes if you are on a dynamic IP address.

Settings > Base Station > NetAV
Settings > Dynamic DNS
Step C. Click on 'Set' to save the changes you've made above.
Now, select the 'Back' button from the bottom bar to
go back one screen, and then once again go back into the 'Dynamic
DNS' menu and review the 'Current
Status' field. The status should be 'Success'
if everything is setup and functioning okay.
Success:
Your Dynamic DNS setup is completed. The base
station will continually monitor your IP address and
update it when needed.
Failure: The Dynamic DNS configuration
or communication to the server has failed. Try
repeating step B above and check for any typographical
errors.
Updating: The system is still trying to
perform a Dynamic DNS update. Try waiting a few
minutes; the current status will either change to a
success or failure. If the current status does not
change, exit out of this screen and wait 5 minutes
before trying again.
