ID Protection

ID Protection / Whois Privacy

While going through the Domain Registration process, you may notice the "ID Protection" option which enables the "Whois Privacy" feature.

Whois Privacy hides your identity when someone does a Whois lookup on your domain. The benefit of having Whois Privacy is that your identity, including home address, phone number, and email address, is shielded from spammers, identity thieves, scammers, and other undesirables. When you enable the WHOIS Privacy service, masked Whois contact information appears in the public Whois database.
