Requirements for Registering a Domain

How do you register a domain?

There are two elements for registering a domain:

  1. Registering and purchasing the desired domain from a registrar
  2. Hosting the contents for the domain

ChangeIP.com is a domain hoster who uses affiliated registrars for domain assignment.  Due to ICANN requirements, registrars are required to collect information such as your address and phone number when you register a domain.  Therefore, if a ChangeIP.com user attempts to register a domain and the users profile does not contain the address and phone number information, the order will be held as Pending and the domain will not be assigned.

Prior to submitting an order for a domain, please go to My Details and update the profile to include the appropriate address and phone number.
