Can you create a PTR (reverse DNS) record for me?

PTR (reverse DNS) records

In most residential and small-to-medium business applications, the answer to this question is usually no. For smaller IP allocations, usually your ISP must be the one to set up reverse DNS records for you. In most cases this is generally just a simple support request away, but keep in mind, if your IP is dynamically assigned, it's quite likely that your ISP will only set generic reverse DNS, and won't set up specific records for you.

If you have a block of IPs large enough that your ISP is willing to delegate reverse DNS authority to you, you can create an appropriate zone using our Dynamic DNS service, and send in a support request to have it populated with the needed PTR records for you, as the PTRs cannot be created through the web interface at this time.
